2. Maintenance

The S510 system is maintenance-
free except from the following
component: fi lter. The fi lter should
be cleaned at regular intervals
(approx. 1-3 months) depending
on the calcareous contents of the
water.

2.1 Filter

(Fig. 8)
1. Turn the upper control knob on
the side of the S510 system to
position "0" to stop the system.
2. Close the ball valve for inlet
water.
3. Open the shut-off valve on the
outlet hose.
4. Dismount the fi lter placed bet-
ween the inlet coupling and the
vacuum valve (Fig. 8) and place
it in a scale dissolvent until the
calcerous substance has been
dissolved.
5. Rinse the cleaned fi lter
thoroughly and remount it.
2.2 Compressor (S510C,
Fig. 8
S510TC)
The compressor must be main-
tained in accordance with the
attached manual from the supplier
of the compressor.

3. Start

Note: Do not start the pump until
it has been vented and fi lled with
water.

3.1 New units

To prevent problems when starting
up a new unit, the system should
be rinsed thoroughly through and
vented.
Venting of pump
1. Open the shut-off valve on the
outlet hose. Wait 30 seconds,
then start the pump by tur-
ning the upper control knob to
po si ti on „I" to let any air pockets
out of the pump.
The S510 system is now ready for
operation.

4. Daily operation

4.1 Start
1. Turn on the water supply.
2. Turn the lower control knob to
the required position (spray
position is vertical, foam position
is horizontal).
3. Start the pump by turning the
upper control knob to position
"I".

4.2 Stop

1. Turn the upper control knob to
position "0".
2. Turn off the water supply.
3. S510X - Close the 1/4" ball val-
ve at the bottom of the system.
Note: It is important to turn off the
pump and the compressor or ex-
ternal air supply when leaving the
mac hi ne after use because:
• If the air supply is open when
the S510 system is not in use,
air may seep into the water pipe
if the non-return valve for water
is defective. If this is the case,
the system may have to be
vented again.
• If the pump is turned on when
the system is not in use, the
water temperature will slowly
rise causing damage to the
gaskets of the pump.
• If the compressor is turned on
when the system is not in use,
the air temperature will rise
incredibly, which will reduce
the lifetime of the compressor
remarkably.
It may be necessary to vent the
pipes and the S510 system again
after it has been closed for a lon-
ger period of time (holidays, and
the like).

4.3 Rinsing the injector

IMPORTANT: The injector must
always be rinsed thoroughly
through after use. Remains of de-
tergents or disinfectants may clog
up the injector so it needs to be
rinsed or replaced. The following
procedure will remove remains of
detergents and/or disinfectants:
1. Remove the detergent container
if used.
2. Turn the lower control knob to
foam position (horizontal).
3. Hold the rinsing bottle with clear
water tightly against the fi lter at
the hose end.
Alternatively, you can place
the hose in a bucket with clear
water.
4. Activate the spray handle until
clear water comes out of the
nozzle (approx. 20 seconds).
