3.5 Counterweight
The counterweight
serves to avoid
imbalance when
boring precision
bores. The
counterweight
assembly comprises the

Fastening:
The clamping elements (supplied as
standard) of the serrated slides are to be
replaced with the clamping elements for
the counterweights.
The counterweight is fastened on the
serrated slide with serrated front face using

cap screw
, disc spring

bolt
. Note that the long side of the
clamping bolt is mounted in the direction
of the tool center. As an adjustment aid,
there are scales on the serrated slides
holders counterweights.
3.6 Axial grooving unit
The axial grooving unit comprises support

and an insert holder
Fastening:
The axial grooving tool is fastened on the
serrated slide with serrated front face using
cap screws and clamping bolts. The
support of the axial grooving unit features
a second serrated body on which the
insert holder is fastened.

Height adjustment (axial):
To do this, loosen the fixing screw
and the threaded clamping pin
adjust the insert holder with the adjusting

screw
in the range +0.4 to –0.4 mm.
Then tighten the fixing screw and threaded
clamping pin again.
4. Internal Cooling Lubricant Supply
The Alu-Line boring tools designed as
standard for internal cooling lubricant
supply. An adjustable spray nozzle element
on the outer end of the base slide or
serrated slide can be aimed at the cutting
edge.
Additionally for Flex D 60,
Ø 500 – 3255 mm (Ø 19.69" – 128.15"):
With the boring tools 349032 / 349037 and
349033 / 349038, the spray nozzle element

and the threaded pin
mounted to seal the unused cooling
lubricant bore.

Cooling lubricant pipes are available as
accessories from Wohlhaupter on request.
They are screwed into the spray nozzle
element and route the cooling lubricant
directly to the cutting edge.
