Rim wear
As with any wear part, the rim must be checked regularly. The brake pads wear out the rim over time.
The rim can weaken and break, causing loss of control and falling.
Regularly check that the surfaces that come in contact with the brake pads do not show signs of cracking
or wear.

5) Using the gear shifting system

Your bike has 6 gears that are manually interchangeable, thanks to a Shimano RevoShift system with a
rear derailleur. Warning, do not pedal backwards during a speed change and never force the shift lever.
For an optimal use of the gear shifting system, it is recommended that you change gears when not
pedalling heavily.
Adjusting the gear shifting system
Your bike has 6 gears that are manually interchangeable.
Use the right handle to make the desired change.
The higher the indicator, the more difficult it will be to pedal
and vice versa.

Adjusting external derailleur systems
The derailleur is equipped with two high and low stop screws.
The derailleur is adjusted using the adjustment wheel on the
rear derailleur.
This wheel is used to adjust the shift cable tension.

6) The chain

Your bike is fitted with an external rear derailleur, the chain is automatically tensioned.
To change the chain.
New chains are generally sold with too many links, and the first stage is to shorten to the appropriate
length. The surest method is to count the number of links on the old chain before adjusting the new one.
To remove the old chain, just take it off the sprockets. Once it has been removed, the new one needs to
be set up. To do this, it must be lifted over the chainring and rear sprocket, so that it is properly attached
to the other elements of the transmission. To fasten the chain, we recommend you use a quick fastener.
This will act as a female link, fitting in between two male links. The quick fastener will also allow to
remove the chain more easily to clean it.
In order to verify the length of the chain is correct, you must shift to the smallest sprocket. In this
configuration, the virtual line drawn between the rear wheel hub and the axis of the bottom derailleur
pulley must be vertical.

7) Pedals

Identify the pedals by looking at the letter noted on the pedal. The right pedal is indicated "R" (Right) and
the left pedal "L" (Left). Turn the R pedal clockwise to secure it on the crank. Turn the L pedal
counterclockwise to secure it on the crank. Fasten according to the torque recommended in the torque
chart provided in paragraph (III.).

8) Wheel and motor
After the first month of use, it is advisable to tighten your spokes to limit the impact of the traction of the
motor on your front or rear wheel. When starting the motor, a light noise may be heard. This noise is
normal because the motor is starting up and assists the pedalling. This noise may become more
significant when it is fully engaged.

9) Other parts

Luggage rack
Your bike is sold with a luggage rack (model: CR261024). This is already fitted on top of your rear
wheel. The fastening elements must be tightened to the torque of 4-6Nm and checked regularly. Your
luggage rack is intended for a maximum load of 15kg, it is possible to fit an infant carrier. Your luggage
rack is not intended for pulling a trailer. As a safety measure, luggage must only be carried on the
luggage rack. When the luggage rack is loaded, the performance of your bike may be changed.
Distribute the luggage load so that it is balanced on both sides to ensure the stability of your bike. All
luggage must be firmly secured to the luggage rack. Before each use, it is important to check that
nothing hangs in the air and is likely to be caught in the rear wheel of the bike. Do not adjust the luggage
rack arbitrarily, ensure you are advised by your reseller on how to adjust it if needed. Do not modify the
luggage rack; any modification of the luggage rack by the user will void these instructions. Luggage
must not obscure the reflectors and lights on your bike.
Stand
Before use, make sure that your stand is pulled up.
