b) Power adapters
• The design of the enclosed power pack complies with safety class II.
• The power adapter must be connected to a standard mains socket that is connected to the public grid.
• The mains socket for the power adapter must be close to the monitor/DVR and easily accessible.
• The power adapter is only suitable for use in dry, enclosed indoor spaces; it must be protected from
moisture or dampness. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
• Do not unplug the power adapter by pulling on the cable.
• Protect the cable of the power adapter from sharp edges and do not step on it.
• If the power adapter shows signs of damage, do not touch it, there is a risk of death from an electric
shock! Fully disconnect the mains voltage for the socket to which the power adapter is connected (e.g.
turn off the corresponding circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse, and then turn off the residual current circuit
breaker).
• Unplug the adapter from the mains socket and take the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Only use the supplied power adapter to operate the system. If the power adapter is faulty, it must be re-
placed by an identical, stabilised power adapter with the same technical specifications (voltage/current).
c) Monitor/DVR
• The monitor/DVR is only suitable for dry, enclosed indoor spaces. Do not expose it to direct sunlight,
heat, cold, moisture or dampness. Otherwise, it will be damaged. Do not place containers filled with
liquids on or near the monitor/DVR.
• If the monitor/DVR holder is used as a stand, make sure that the monitor/DVR is placed on a flat, hori-
zontal and stable surface so that it cannot tip over or fall off. Use a suitable underlay to protect valuable
furniture surfaces from dents or scratches.
• Before mounting the monitor/DVR, make sure that it is firmly fixed by means of screws/hooks/nails or the
adhesive surface so that it cannot fall off.
• Do not apply pressure to the surface of the display, because this might cause scratches, or break and
thus permanent damage the display. This will void the warranty!
