*Fit casting ring at 850°C and heat up to the fi nal temperature of 950°C at maximum heating rate.
Transfer technique:
To achieve better casting results and surface qualities with high-gold content alloys (e.g. Bio Maingold
SG) and gold-reduced alloys (e.g. Hera SG) with a preheating temperature of 700°C, fi rst preheat the
investment compound to 900°C [depending on casting ring size maintain the temperature (see table)]
and then transfer to the 700°C hot oven or reduce the temperature from 900°C to 700°C.
Please follow instructions for the respective alloys.
Safety Instructions
• Do not open the furnace during the wax burnout phase.
• Investments contain quartz. Do not inhale the dust! Risk of lung damage (silicosis, lung cancer).
Recommendation: Wear a protective face mask, type FFP 2 EN 149:2001.
Prevent the release of dust when opening the bag and fi lling the mixing bowl.
• Rinse the empty bag with water before crumpling it up.
• Always moisten any dust before removing it from the workplace.
• After casting, place the completely cooled mould in water until it is fully moistened to prevent dust
when devesting.
• Use an extractor with a fi ne dust fi lter when sandblasting.
Changes
Revision marking November 2007 / Changes in relation to Issue 02/2005.
Expansion control, vacuum stirring time, suitable casting ring systems, preheating process
We always attempt to include the latest results for our investment materials (development and appli-
cation) in the instructions. Excellent precision of fi t and surfaces are achieved with Kulzer equipment
and materials. The results may vary if other materials (e.g. casting ring liners, waxes, equipment etc.)
or diff erent techniques are used.
The fi gures given by our research and development department are guidelines and can be indivi-
dually adjusted.
