ATTENTION
Use while the engine is cold, to avoid getting burnt.
Check the maximum pressure supported by the system in the manual provided by the
manufacturer.
How to Use:
Testing Cooling Circuit:
1. Remove the radiator cap while the engine is cold, and clean the gasket seats to eliminate any
encrustations.
2. Fit the test cap suiting the connection type onto the radiator. Screw the cap onto the radiator,
making sure that the rubber gasket has been placed correctly.
3. Connect the radiator tester to the cap through the quick coupling on the hose end.
4. Pump until pressure is approximately 1÷1.4 bar. If the gauge pointer does not move for
approximately 1 minute, the whole circuit is perfectly efficient; if it goes down, the circuit leaks,
where water is discharged. If the gauge goes down and no fluid discharges can be located,
check whether the engine head gasket is worn.
5. Finally, release pressure through the button next to the quick coupling, and put away the
device, after removing any fluid or dirt.
Testing Cooling Circuit Bayonet Cap:
1. Remove the radiator cap while the engine is cold, and clean the gasket seats to eliminate any
encrustations.
2. Choose a properly sized adapter (black or blue) and screw the radiator cap.
3. Screw a test cap on the other side of the adaptor; connect the radiator tester to the cap
through the quick coupling on the house end.
4. Pump until air is released from the cap to test.
5. Make sure that pressure matches the operating pressure of the cap.
6. Finally, release pressure through the button next to the quick coupling, and put away the
device, after removing any fluid or dirt.
