The wake up obtained by a remote control does not switch on the optical emitter,
it must be switched separately by the control provided for this purpose.
Pressing
PRINT
It cannot start the SCANNING function.
The "COM" symbol lights up as soon as the serial link is activated whether this is
on data emission or on reception of an external read instruction.
There are six possible types of remote controls and each type is defined by a
special code :
- Switching on the emitter
Codes to send to the instrument to switch on the optical emitter:
- 07 Hexa on decimal, corresponding graphic:
The response to this instruction is to switch the optical sensor to emit, if it is
already operating nothing happens.
Measurement is only possible 2 seconds after the start of the optical
emission.
If the control of the external sensor is activated (level 0 on the external sensor
input) the instruction to switch on the optical sensor is ignored.
- Switching off the emitter
Codes to send to the instrument to stop emission from the optical sensor.
- DB Hexa. 219 decimal, corresponding graphic :
The response to this instruction is to stop emission of the optical sensor to
reduce the consumption and increase the service life of the battery supply.
When the optical sensor is switched off the measurement enquiry by an
external command generates an unavailable response in the form of the
code.

The optical sensor is switched on again by pressing the PRINT button on the
instrument.
A stop instruction sent whilst the sensor is already switched off has no effect.
