2 Safety instructions

2.3 Information on the power supply

The appliance is charged with electrical current. Thus there is always risk of
electrical shock. You must therefore observe the following:
„
Never touch the appliance or its charger with wet hands. Never immerse
the appliance or its charger in water or other liquids.
„
If you want to pull the charger out of the socket, always pull directly on the
charger. Never pull the charger's cord.
„
Ensure that the charger cord is not bent, pinched, rolled over and that it
does not come into contact with heat sources.
„
Only ever use the charger included in the scope of supply in order to charge
the rechargeable battery.
„
Always check the charger cord for possible damage before using the appli-
ance. Do not use a charger with a damaged cord or plug. Only ever connect
the charger to sockets which carry the voltage indicated on the charger.
„
Before cleaning or performing maintenance on the appliance, ensure that
the appliance has been switched to off position („0") and that the charger is not
connected.

2.4 Information on the brush roller

The brush roller in the brush base rotates at hight speed. This poses various
hazards to people, animals and objects:
„
Never vacuum clean people, animals or plants. Keep parts of the body and
items of clothing away from the moving parts and openings on the appliance
when it is in operation. They may otherwise be drawn in and cause injuries.
„
Before you detach or connect, open or clean the brush base, switch the On/
Off button on the handle to the off position ("0").
„
Do not run over cords, cables etc. as the rotating brush roller may damage
them. There is also a risk of them becoming tangled in the brush roller.
„
Keep the rotating brush roller away from all delicate surfaces. This may oth-
erwise cause damage. Comply with the care and cleaning instructions provid-
ed by the manufacturer.
„
Also keep the rotating brush roller away from curtains, long tassels and the
like. The objects may otherwise become drawn in and damaged.
