1 Introduction
This wireless connection allows a bow or stern
thruster to be controlled from a Vetus bow or
stern thruster control panel without the need
for installing a cable from the control panel to
the thruster concerned.
This product is designed exclusively for use
as described in this manual and must only be
used for this purpose. Any other use is a breach
of the conditions of use and Vetus accepts no
liability for any consequent damage. Claims on
the warranty will not be accepted if unauthor-
ized changes are made to the product.
2 Installation
In order to prevent personal injury, always
disconnect the electrical supply during instal-
lation of, and when carrying out maintenance
on, the bow and/or stern thruster.
2.1 Transmitter — control panel
• Connect the transmitter to the control panel
using the plug provided.
The power supply (12 or 24 Volt) needed for the
transmitter and the control panel can be taken
from any suitable point on the dashboard. Very
little current is taken.
• Connect the 2 free wires as follows:
Red + and Black -.
See the wiring diagrams on pages 12 to 15.
The transmitter can be fixed in place using the
support provided.
A second control panel (fly bridge) can be con-
nected to the first panel by cable or be provid-
ed with its own transmitter.

2.2 Receiver — bow thruster
Position the receiver as far as possible away
from large metal objects and electric motors.
The maximum distance between the transmit-
ter and the receiver to guarantee that it will
function correctly is 15 metres (50 ft).
• Connect the receiver as shown in the wiring
diagrams.
• Check its operation.
The transmitter and receiver are already pro-
grammed to work together.
3 Operation
3.1 Receiver — bow thruster
Turn on the power to the receiver. The green
LED (POWER) will come on and remain on. The
red LED will come on after 1 second; this will go
off again after 15 seconds. The receiver is now
ready for use.
When the transmitter is being used, the cor-
responding yellow LED (OUT1, OUT2, etc.) will
come on.
3.2 Transmitter — control panel
Operating the bow or stern thruster through
the control panel is the same as described in
the manual for the bow or stern thruster.
