7.5.2 Teach-in procedures
General information
– Setpoint 2 (SP2) as per Smart Sensor profile is not
supported for this sensor and is always 0x0000.
– In Single Value Teach both teach points TP1 and TP2
are taught at the same time and with the same value
(the status bits are therefore not supported).
Prerequisite
The sensor is mounted, aligned, and in IO-Link operation.
Teach-in
1. Move the cylinder to the desired position
2. Select the teach-in channel as follows:

3. Start teach-in: Send system command 0x41 to the
sensor.

4. Confirm teach-in: Send system command 0x40 to the

Setting switchpoint width.
The switchpoint width can be adjusted for each individual
switchpoint using the Switchpoint Width parameter:
– Default setting: 5
– Reduce switchpoint width: < 5 (Minimum = 1)
– Expand switchpoint width: > 5 (Maximum = 10)
