5. Working with the mini hand-held
circular saw
Inserting and changing the blade (Fig. 1-4)
Important! Always pull out the power plug before
doing any work on the circular saw!
Screw off the knurled nut (8) and pull out the
screw (5).
Take the guard hood (4) off the tool.
Insert the Allen key (a) into the free end of the
drive shaft (b).
Insert the second Allen key (c) into the mounting
screw (d) of the blade.
Use the one Allen key (a) to hold the shaft and
undo the screw with the other Allen key (c).
Insert or remove the saw blade and mounting
rings, paying attention to the running direction
(see arrow on the housing)!
Use the one Allen key (a) to hold the shaft and
400 W
tighten the screw with the other Allen key (c).
8000 rpm
Mount the guard hood (4) again.
Setting the cutting depth (Figure 5)
11 mm Ø
Undo the setting screw (3).
0.8 mm
Set the cutting depth in accordance with the
scale (a).
When cutting wood or plastic the selected
cutting depth should be a little larger than the
1.88 m/s
2
material thickness.
To prevent damage to underlying surfaces, the
1.5 kg
cutting depth can be set exactly to the thickness
II / ®
of the material. However, this will result in a
slightly unclean cut.
Marking cuts (Figure 5)
To prevent cutting too far there are index
numbers (b) on both sides of the guard hood (4)
which correspond to the scale (a). They indicate
the beginning and the end of the cut.
Draw the cut on the workpiece. In the case of a
shape which is neither a rectangle or a square,
draw guide lines which intersect the cuts at right
angles.
Set the required cutting depth.
Look for the corresponding cutting depth on the
sides of the guard hoods.
