11. Inserting/changing batteries

a) External sensor
• Remove the battery compartment lid from the rear side.
• Before inserting batteries, select the desired channel using the slide switch located in the battery compartment.
If you use multiple outdoor sensors (max. 3), all outdoor sensors must be set to a different channel.
• Insert 2 AAA batteries and heed correct polarity. Heed correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. The
LED (13) flashes once every 60 seconds.
• Close the battery compartment. Make sure, that the seal is installed correctly.
b) Weather station
Make sure to connect the power adapter before replacing the batteries. Otherwise all settings will be
deleted.
• Remove the battery compartment lid (2) from the rear side.
• Insert 3 AAA batteries and heed correct polarity. Heed correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment. The
weather station beeps once, apart from that all display elements are displayed for a short time.
• Close the battery compartment.
You can also supply the weather station with power via the power adapter included in the scope of supply.
First connect the DC connector with the power adapter connection (4). Then connect the mains plug with a
common household power outlet.
Even if batteries are already inserted, the weather station is still supplied via the power adapter; the
batteries are conserved.

12. Positioning

a) External sensor
• Install the outdoor sensor in an area that is in shadow the whole day, e.g. on a wall facing North. Direct sunlight and
heat radiated from objects falsifies the temperature measurement.
• You can install the outdoor sensor on a wall with a suitable screw or nail (both not included in the scope of supply).
• The external sensor features a foot (14) and is therefore suitable for installation on flat, stable surfaces.
