6.2 - STERILIZATION

The tube supplied in the peristaltic pump can be cleaned with alcohol or
non-toxic sterilizing liquids.
Particular attention must be paid to cleaning and sterilizing the
micromotor complete with hose and support.
The micromotor can be sterilized in an autoclave at 135 °C, while the
support can be sterilized by autoclaving at 123 °C .

IMPORTANT:

- before placing the micromotor in the autoclave fit the specially
designed endcap in the front of the motor (Fig. 9-1 and Fig. 9-2):
- do not sterilize the micromotor with liquids that conduct electricity.

7 - DIAGNOSTICS

If the appliance fails to operate first check the fuses at the rear (7, Fig. 2).
If the fuses must be changed refer to the specifications in the table in
chapter 2 of this manual. Before checking the fuses, set the main switch
to 0 (OFF) and unplug the mains power cable; check the condition of the
fuses and replace if necessary. Once the fuse caps have been refitted
you can reconnect the mains power cable.
If malfunctions and faulty operation persist, unplug the appliance
and consult CARLO DE GIORGI.
ALL WORK ON THE APPLIANCE MUST BE PERFORMED WITH
THE POWER SUPPLY DISCONNECTED
