5 - OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS

5.1 - CONTROLS

The appliance features the following control devices on the front panel
(Fig. 6):
- water pump on/off button (1) with orange indicator LED that lights
when the pump is running;
- "reverse" button (2) with orange indicator LED; if the selected function
requires "normal" rotation direction of tools, this LED must be off;
- the two commands described above are replicated also on the
footswitch (Fig. 7), where the green left-hand button (3) controls
starting and stopping of the water pump, and the red right-hand button
(4) serves to reverse the direction of rotation of the tools;
"Up ▲" (5) and "Down ▼" keys (6) to edit the field currently selected on

the display (8);
- "shift" key (7) to select the field to edit on the display (8);
- two-line display (8); the display shows editable parameters which must
first be selected by pressing the "shift" key (the cursor flashes on the
selected field) and can then be edited using the "Up ▲" and "Down ▼"

- the footswitch (Fig. 7) is equipped with a yellow button (9) that serves to
change the preset program when used in conjunction with the green (3) or
red (4) buttons;
it is also equipped with a lever (10) that can be moved to start the motor and
control the speed up to the maximum value previously entered in the
program.
To change the program with the footswitch first press yellow button (9) and
then:
press green button (3) corresponding to Up ▲, if you want to go to the next
program;
or press red button (4) corresponding to Down ▼, if you want to go to the
previous program.
When you press the yellow button a continuous audible signal sounds to
indicate that the green (3) and red (4) buttons are active only in program
changeover mode and can therefore not perform their primary function of,
respectively, starting/stopping the water pump and reversing the direction of
rotation of tools. When you press yellow button (9) again the audible signal
stops and the green (3) and red (4) buttons are once more available to
perform their primary functions.
