6.6 Foot remote controller

Via the supplied foot remote controller different
functions of the spotlights may be controlled. If sev-
eral spotlight sets are interconnected in the master /
slave operation, all of them are controlled together
via the remote controller of the master unit.
1) Connect the jack (16) on the rear side of the
remote controller to the jack FOOT CON-
TROLLER (5) at the controller via the supplied
cable. Secure the plug connection in each case
by tightly turning the cap nut.
2) There must be no DMX signal at the input DMX
IN (6).

6.6.1 Switching the light on and off

The light is switched off with the button BLACKOUT
(20) on the remote controller. When switching off
the light (blackout), the display (3) of the (master)
unit shortly shows
To switch on the light again, press the button
BLACKOUT once more or directly select another
function with one of the other three buttons of the
remote controller.

6.6.2 Automatic mode

It is possible to select the two programs of the auto-
matic mode (
(17). Press the button repeatedly to change from
one program to the other. The display shows

6.6.4 Colour spotlight mode

The 9 preset colours of the colour spotlight mode
( chapter 6.3) may be selected with the button
COLOR (19). Press the button repeatedly to

DMX Control

DMX is short for Digital Multiplex and allows digital
control of several DMX units via a common control
line. For operation via a DMX light controller (e. g.
DMX-1440 or DMX-510USB from "img Stage Line")
the light effect panel is equipped with 14 DMX con-
trol channels. However, it can also be controlled via
5 channels only, if required. The functions of the
channels and the corresponding DMX values can
be found in chapter 10.1.

7.1 Connection

As a DMX interface the unit is equipped with 3-pole
XLR connections with the following pin configura-
tion:
pin 1 = ground, pin 2 = DMX-, pin 3 = DMX+
For connection, special cables for high data flow
should be used. Standard microphone cables with
screening and a minimum cross section of 2 ×
0.22 mm
can only be recommended for a total cable length
of up to 100 m. For cable lengths exceeding 150 m
it is recommended to insert a DMX level matching
amplifier (e. g. SR-103DMX from "img Stage Line").
1) Connect the control input DMX IN (6) to the DMX
output of the light controller. If remote controllers
are connected, separate them from the spotlight
sets so that they do not impair the DMX control.
2) Connect the control output DMX OUT (7) to the
control input DMX IN of the next DMX-controlled
unit. Connect its output again to the input of the
following unit, etc. until all DMX-controlled units
are connected in a chain.

3) To prevent interferences in signal transmission,
for long cables or for a great number of units
connected in series, terminate the control output
of the last DMX unit of the chain with a 120 Ω
resistor (> 0.3 W): Connect a corresponding ter-
