25. Keep all screws, bolts and covers tightly in
place.
Keep all screws, bolts, and plates tightly
mounted. Check their condition periodically.
26. Do not use blower if the plastic housing or
handle is cracked.
Cracks in the blower's housing or handle can
lead to electric shock. Such blower should not
be used until repaired.
27. NEVER use a blower which is defective or
operating abnormally.
If the blower appears to be operating
unusually, making strange noises, or
otherwise appears defective, stop using it
immediately and arrange for repairs by a
Hitachi authorized service center.
28. Carefully handle blower.
Should a blower be dropped or struck against
hard materials inadvertently, it may be
deformed, cracked, or damaged.
29. Do not wipe plastic parts with solvent.
Solvents such as gasoline, thinner benzine,
carbon tetrachloride, and alcohol may
damage and crack plastic parts. Do not wipe
them with such solvents.
Wipe plastic parts with a soft cloth lightly
dampened with soapy water and dry thoroughly.
30. ALWAYS wear eye protection that meets the
requirement of the latest revision of
ANSI Standard Z87.1.

FOR BATTERY CHARGER
WARNING:
Death or serious bodily injury could result
from improper or unsafe use of battery
chargers. To avoid these risks, follow these
basic safety instructions:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
1. This manual contains important safety and
operating instructions for battery charger
Model UC36YRSL.
2. Before using battery charger, read all
instructions and cautionary markings on (1)
battery charger, (2) battery, and (3) product
using battery.
3. Plug of battery charger must match the outlet.
Never modify the plug in any way.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will
reduce risk of electric shock.
4. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord
for carrying, pulling or unplugging the battery
charger.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges
or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk
of electric shock.
5. To reduce risk of injury, charge HITACHI
rechargeable battery type, BSL3620 and
BL36200. Other type of batteries may burst
causing personal injury and damage.
6. Do not expose battery charger to rain or snow.
7. Use of an attachment not recommended or
sold by the battery charger manufacturer may
result in a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury
to persons.
8. To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and
cord, pull by plug when disconnecting battery
charger.
9. Make sure cord is located so that it will not
be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise
subjected to damage or stress.
10. Do not operate battery charger with damaged
cord or plug-replace them immediately.
11. Do not operate battery charger if it has
received a sharp blow, been dropped, or
otherwise damaged in any way; take it to a
qualified serviceman.
12. Do not disassemble battery charger; take it
to a qualified serviceman when service or
repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may
result in a risk of electric shock or fire.
13. To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug
charger from receptacle before attempting
any maintenance or cleaning. Removing the
battery will not reduce this risk.
14. Do not charge the unit outdoors.
15. Use only the charger supplied by the
manufacturer to recharge.
