Introduction
WARNING: Read and understand the safety
chapter before you assemble the product.
To install and remove the multi battery
(accessory)
1. Remove the 4 rubber covers and the 4 screws from
the motor cover. (Fig. 23)
2. Put the adapter plate onto the motor cover.
3. Attach the adapter plate with the 4 supplied screws
to a torque of 5-6 Nm. (Fig. 24)
4. Open the battery hatch.
5. Remove the battery in slot 1. (Fig. 25)
6. Remove the seal stop. (Fig. 26)
7. Push the battery adapter into the battery
compartment until you hear a click. (Fig. 27)
8. Put the cord of the battery adapter through the seal
stop hole. Attach the cord with the clip. (Fig. 28)
9. Install the multi battery onto the battery adapter.
10. Connect the multi battery to the battery adapter. (Fig.
29)
11. Attach battery adapter cord to the handle with the 3
fabric straps. (Fig. 30)
12. Remove the multi battery in the opposite sequence.
WARNING: Do not attach the cord too
loosely to the handle. The cord can come off
the handle and cause injury.
To assemble the handle (LC 551iV)
1. Loosen the lower knobs.
2. Move the knobs to the lower end of the grooves on
the left and the right side of the product. (Fig. 31)
3. Set the handle height in one of the 2 available
positions.
4. Move the knobs up in the direction of the handle until
they stop and you hear a click. (Fig. 32)

5. Tighten the knobs fully.
To assemble the handle (LB 548i)
1. Remove the handle nut and the washer from the
plate on the upper handle.
2. Put the upper handle in position on top of the lower
handle.
3. Attach the washer and the handle adjustment lever.

4. Turn the handle to the side for a good operation
position when you operate the product near a wall.

To assemble the grass catcher (LC
551iV)
1. Attach the grass catcher frame to the grass bag with
the rigid part of the bag on the bottom. Keep the
handle of the frame on top of the grass bag. (Fig. 35)
2. Attach the bottom section of the grass catcher frame
in the groove on the bottom of the grass catcher.
3. Attach the grass bag to the grass catcher frame with
the clips. (Fig. 36)
4. Lift the rear cover.
5. Attach the grass catcher to the top edge of the
chassis.
6. Put the lower part of the grass catcher into the grass
discharge channel. (Fig. 37)
To assemble the mulch plug (LC 551iV
accessory)
1. Lift up the rear cover and remove the grass catcher.
2. Put the mulch plug into the discharge channel. (Fig.
38)
3. Replace the blade with the mulch blade that is
supplied with the mulch kit. Refer to
blade on page 23 .
CAUTION: Make sure that the wires are
not caught or become damaged.
