instructions. The apparatus is to be used only for the purpose specified here.
Purpose
Dräger PARAT 4500 is an escape hood for use during escape from facilities where
organic or inorganic gases, vaporous breathing poisons or dangerous particles can
suddenly be released. Designed for an escape period of at least 15 minutes. For single
use only. Only use the escape hood for the purpose of escaping in an emergency. Do
not use during regular operations!
At high concentrations of breathing poisons (≥1 vol. %) and in the presence of low-
boiling compounds of group 1 and 2, a reduced degree of protection is to be expected.
Untrained users may experience breathing difficulties.
The escape hood does not protect against carbon monoxide or oxygen deficiency!
Failure to observe this can lead to death or severe bodily injuries.
Description
The escape hood with combination filter complies with DIN 58647-7 ABEK-P 15. The
hood is tested in accordance with EN 403. The nose cup fits all adults and children
from the age of four.
