• Pull the collar around the nose cup (O).
• Place the piece of cardboard on the viewing window. Fold the hood tightly together.
Secure the pull cords to the box so that the sealing plugs will be removed
automatically when the hood is pulled out of the box.
• Attach the label with the new expiry date to the box. Do not place it on top of the label
with the old expiry date and do not remove this label. The information on it is needed
in order to determine the total age of the hood.
• Enclose Instructions for Use with the hood.
• Proceed as described in the following for the individual packaging variants.
Dräger PARAT 4520 soft-pack (P):
• Slide the pull cord under the loop and secure it there.
• Place the hood in the pack and close the zip fastener.
Dräger PARAT 4530 traveller-pack (Q):
• Secure the pull cord to the box by pushing the metal clip of the pull cord into the slit
in the base of the plastic box until it snaps into position.
• Close the plastic box, pushing any projecting parts of the hood into the box (with the
aid of the retaining clip) as you do so.
• Secure the cover of the plastic box with the retaining clip.
Dräger PARAT 4560 box (R, S):
• Tie the pull cord and the rip cord together and secure the rip cord in the box with its
screw. Place the cover, with the packing aid, on the box. Close the cover and secure
it with the rubber band. Seal the box with the seal.
Storage
Store the hood in the box in a cool and dry place. Do not expose to direct sunlight and
temperatures above 50

The product contains sodium dichromate (CAS number 10588-01-9, EU number 234-
190-3), a material in the list of candidates according to Article 59 (1, 10) of Regulation
(EU) no. 1907/2006 (REACH), in a concentration above 0.1 w%.
Disposal
Dispose of filter and hood in accordance with the applicable local waste disposal
regulations.
