You must grease the cable winch regularly to guarantee that it functions
perfectly.

Dismantle the cable winch.
›
Grease all rotating and sliding parts with the recommended
lubricating greases.
›
Re-assemble the cable winch carefully.
›
Actuate the levers a few times until the grease is distributed evenly.

Replacing the shear pin

If you overload the cable winch, the shear pin breaks. However,
the load remains held even if the shear pin has broken. The shear pin
must be replaced when broken.

Tap the broken shear pin out using a cotter pin punch.
›
Tap the new shear pin in using a hammer.
›
Check that the lever is functioning by moving it in both directions.

(on the Nordforest 800 kg cable winch) or in the carrying handle
(on the Nordforest 1600 kg and 3200 kg cable winches).

Disposal

If the device can no longer be used, it must be disposed of properly.
