CHAPTER 4 - MAINTENANCE

4-1 NOTES

MAINS BY REMOVING ITS PLUG
FROM THE ELECTRIC SOCKET.
This chapter details the most frequent
maintenance operations. For more
complex interventions refer to the ex-
ploded views in the following chapter
for the exact dismantling and reassem-
bling procedures and for the codes of
spare parts.

4-2 RESIDUAL RISKS

Despite all safety precautions there are
still some residual risks.
Residual risks are potential unapparent
dangers such as:
- Catching one's clothes or hair on
workpieces or while workpieces are
being conveyed.
- Being hit by parts or working resi-
dues cast outwards.
- Danger resulting from work on the

electrical system.
- Danger of getting jammed between
a workpiece being fed and the wall
(minimum distance between
workpiece and wall 500 mm).
- If the Feed Unit is plugged into a
current tap that is not connected to
the controls of the woodworking
machine, there is a risk that the unit
will start suddenly when the power
is restored after an interruption of
current.
- Danger of dragging between the
feed rollers and the workpiece.

4-3 PERIODICAL LUBRICATION

To keep the machine silent and in per-
fect working condition it is necessary
to:
1) Periodically inject ATHESIA EP/2 IP
grease into the bearings through the
lubricators (T) shown in the figure
using the specially-designed pump
supplied in the outfit.
2) Periodically check the oil level in the
sump after unscrewing plug (D). The
oil level must never go lower than 4
cm below the plug level. If neces-
sary, top up with OLEOBLITZ EHT
16 or other oil with viscosity SAE 30.
3) Lubricate the slides of the support.
