4.
Clean the space beneath the brazier and the space under the ash drawer
with a vacuum cleaner.
G
Open slots and a clean grille in the combustion chamber are of key
importance to the proper burning of the pellets.
5.
Put the brazier and the ash drawer back into the stove. Make sure the bra-
zier is refitted correctly. Make sure the large opening is near the ignition rod
(as indicated in figure 9). If the brazier is refitted incorrectly, the stove will
not be lit.

6.5 CLEANING THE HEAT EXCHANGER

When the stove is switched off and cold:
1.
Open the door and remove all ash with an ash vacuum cleaner.
2.
Remove the brazier and the bottom of the combustion chamber (Pic. 7&10).
3.
Extraction of the fire protection: push the fire protection upward to remove
it from the slot (Pic. 11).
4.
Now use a brush and an ash vacuum cleaner, clean top and bottom of the
combustion chamber by removing all ash which has built up inside the com-
bustion chamber (Pic. 12-13).
5.
Do the reverse process to re-assemble.
6.6 CHECK THE SEAL ON THE FIRE DOOR
Check the door seal for leaks and damage at least twice a year; the first time before
the season starts. If necessary, have the door seal replaced by a Qlima-approved
technician. Only use original Qlima spare parts.
6.7 CLEANING THE PELLET HOPPER AND AUGER
Clean the pellet hopper and auger once a month.
1.
Remove the protective grille from the pellet hopper.
2.
Empty the pellet hopper.
3.
Clean the pellet hopper and the visible part of the auger with a vacuum
cleaner (figure 14).
4.
Refit the protective grille.
5.
Fill the hopper with pellets.
6.8 CLEANING THE PELLET SUPPLY PIPE
Clean the pellet supply pipe once a week with a stiff round brush (figure 15). The
pellet supply pipe is located in the stove's combustion chamber. Creosote can build
up in the supply pipe and contaminate it to such an extent that it can get blocked
by pellets.
6.9 CLEANING EXHAUST FLUE CONNECTOR T-PIECE:
Every month remove and empty the cap of the inspection""T"" pipe located be-
hind the stove (see picture 18 and 19). If this T-piece is not clean enough it will stop
the stove from starting, causing damages to the stove itself and to the environ-
ment (possible emission of unbrunt material and soot).
