PROBLEM
The transmission does not
work properly
Chain slipping
The chain passes over the
gear wheels or the crown
Constant noise when
pedalling
POSSIBLE CAUSE
- derailleur cables blocked /
poor / damaged
- front or rear derailleur out
of adjustment
- indicator of misaligned
gearbox
- the crown is too worn out or
overrides the sprockets
- the chain is consumed /
lacking
- chain / sprocket / pinion not
compatible
crown out of place
- crown too loose
- the crown teeth are not
intact
- front or rear derailleur
installed incorrectly
the pedal pins or the crank
are too loose
- the pins / axles of the pedal
bracket are too loose
- the crank or bracket are
bent
- the crank is too loose
SOLUTION
- lubricate / tighten / replace
the cables
- adjust the derailleur
- replace the crown, pinions
and chain
- replace the chain
- contact a qualified person
- fix if possible or replace
- tighten the screws well
- replace the crown or set
- install derailleur well
- adjust pins / screws
- adjust the bracket
- replace the crank or bracket
- tighten the screws well
