BICYCLE CARE
Basic maintenance
The following procedure allows you to carry a basic maintenance to your pedal-assisted
bike. Keep batteries charged at 50-60% when not in use. Do not ride the bicycle in water
(wet roads, puddles, under rain, brooks, etc.) and never immerse it in water, since this
can result in damage to the electric system.
Qualified personnel must regularly check wiring and connectors, to ensure that they are
not damaged, and they have a good continuity. If frame is dirty, dust the surface and re-
move dirt using a dry cloth.
If it is not enough, use a mild detergent with a damp cloth and dry it with a dry cloth. Use
soap and water to clean plastic and rubber parts. Chrome parts must be cleaned with
specific products to avoid rust.
Store the bicycle in a sheltered place.
Avoid leaving bike under rain or under exposition of corrosive materials. Avoid high pres-
sure washing. Clean bike from sweat, that can result corrosive.
Avoid riding bike on the beach or in coastline areas which are high in salt, since it is very
corrosive. Often wash the bike and use an anti-rust product on not-painted parts.
If you store the bike on the bicycle rack, it is likely to remove battery and cover the motor,
so that rain and wind cannot damage them.
If the varnish starts to get damaged, use a touch-up varnish to prevent rust. A trans-
parent enamel can be used as a temporary measure for the problem. Regularly clean
and lubricate the moving parts (folding joint), well tighten the components and solve
any other problem. Make specific treatments to aluminium and steel parts to avoid
rust.
Where to store ebike
Store your bicycle in a dry place, away from rain and sun.
Direct sunlight could affect the varnish or damage rubber and plastic parts. Before
storing the bicycle for a long period of time, clean and lubricate all components and
apply wax on the frame. Deflate the tires to half the pressure and hang the bike.
Do not cover with plastic, since it can facilitate the rust formation.
The warranty does not cover damage to varnish, caused among other things by rust,
corrosion, mould. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from theft (we sug-
gest transcribing the unique chassis number)
