1. Depending on whether you wish to use the vacuum cleaner as a hand-held or fl oor vacuum
cleaner, insert the telescoping rod (13) if necessary or detach it.
2. Insert the nozzle you want into the suction opening (6) and attach the suction hose (17).
If necessary, attach the carrying strap (16) to the device.
3. Unwind the mains cable to its full length and insert the mains plug into a properly installed
mains socket that is easily accessible.

Cleaning and Storing the Device

CAUTION!
❐ Before you do any cleaning and before you remove the dust container, always remove the
mains plug from the plug socket fi rst.
❐ Never immerse the motor housing in water or other liquids.
❐ Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device.
These could damage the surface.

Emptying the Dust Container and Cleaning the Filter

The dust container (8) should be emptied at regular intervals to maintain good suction force.
You can look through the transparent housing to see how much dirt has accumulated inside.
1. Hold the hand-held vacuum cleaner vertically, with the suction opening pointing down-
wards, over an open rubbish bin.

4. If you are using the suction hose and carrying strap, hang it
over your shoulder.
5. Move the On/Off switch (10) to position 1 to switch on the
vacuum cleaner.
6. Guide the nozzle over the surface to be cleaned.
7. After you have fi nished vacuuming, move the On/Off switch to
0 and remove the mains plug.
8. To ensure optimum performance of the device, you should
empty the dust container (8) and clean the fi lter (5) after eve-
ry use (see next chapter).
2. Hold down the release button (9) of the dust container and
carefully remove it.
