Dust/Chip Extraction
Dust from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some
wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to one's
health. Touching or breathing-in the dust can cause allergic
reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or
bystanders.
Certain dust, such as oak or beech dust, is considered carci-
nogenic, especially in connection with wood-treatment ad-
ditives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials containing
asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the ma-
terials to be worked.
Avoid dust accumulation at the workplace. Dust can
u
easily ignite.
Operation
Starting Operation
Inserting the battery
Slide the charged battery (11) into the power tool from the
front. Press the battery fully into the power tool until the bat-
tery is securely locked.
Switching On and Off
To switch on the power tool, first press the lock-off but-
ton (1), then press and hold the on/off switch (2).
The lamp (10) lights up when the on/off switch (2) is lightly
or fully pressed, meaning that the work area is illuminated in
poor lighting conditions.
To switch off, release the on/off switch (2).
Note: For safety reasons, the on/off switch (2) cannot be
locked; it must remain pressed during the entire operation.
Temperature-dependent overload protection
In normal conditions of use, the power tool cannot be over-
loaded. If the power tool is overloaded or the permitted bat-
tery temperature is exceeded, the electronics of the power
tool will switch off until the temperature returns to within the
optimum operating temperature range.
Working Advice
Hold the power tool firmly with both hands and make
u
sure you have a stable footing. The power tool can be
more securely guided with both hands.
Select a suitable cutting position for your workpiece, so that
as many teeth as possible of the bandsaw blade (6) are in
the cut (see figure F).
Switch the power tool on, place it onto the workpiece using
the guide (5) and slowly lower the bandsaw blade (6) into
the cut.
Work with moderate pressure and uniform feed.
Reduce the pressure just before ending the cut and slightly
raise the power tool, so that it does not fall on the work-
piece.

Maintenance and Service

Maintenance and Cleaning
Remove the battery from the power tool before carry-
u
ing out work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,
changing tool, etc.). The battery should also be re-
moved for transport and storage. There is risk of injury
from unintentionally pressing the on/off switch.
To ensure safe and efficient operation, always keep
u
the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.
