NFC functions

NFC cards can be read in using the NFC read area.
The following functions are available.
– Read-in/installation of welding processes, special
programs (upgrades) or credit cards
– Log-in of users with different user rights
– Read-in of jobs (all parameter settings for a welding
process/operating mode)
Installation of upgrade or credit cards
Upgrade or credit cards are NFC cards which are cancelled by
an upgrade operation. Such a card may contain one or more
credit values. Each upgrade or each application cancels one
credit.
 Hold the NFC card to the NFC read area A43.
9 The code "Acc" appears in the left-hand 7-segment display
A4.
9 The number of credits appears in the right-hand 7-seg-
ment display A12 (e.g. "001" for upgrade).
‰ The operation can be cancelled by pressing the Exit but-
ton A2.
 Press the Save button A14 to confirm the operation.
9 The upgrade or credit is installed on the device.
The installation is displayed by a rotating chas-
er light in the right-hand 7-segment display A12.
If the NFC card is removed too early from the

NFC read area A43, then the installation can-
not be completed correctly. In this case, the
chaser light is still displayed and the NFC card
is blocked for other devices.
 Hold the NFC card to the NFC read area A43 once again in
order to complete the installation.
If the installation of a credit card has not been

completed, the affected device is no longer
available. This means that the blocked NFC
card can be unlocked again on another device.
However, in so doing, the affected (possibly in-
correctly installed) credit is cancelled.
Unlocking an NFC upgrade or credit card
 Hold the NFC card to the NFC read area A43.
9 The code "Un Loc" is displayed in the 7-segment displays
A4 and A12.
‰ The operation can be cancelled by pressing the Exit but-
ton A2.
 Press the Save button A14 to confirm unlocking.
9 The card is unlocked and cancelled for the incorrect instal-
lation.

Job function

In a job, all the parameter settings for a welding process/oper-
ating mode are saved.
Reading in a job
 Hold the NFC card with the saved job to the NFC read area
of the device.
9 The welding process and all the parameter settings are
transferred to the device.
The welding process of the job must also be

available on the welding device to be trans-
ferred to.

Additional functions

Control panel brightness
‰ This function can be used to set the brightness of the com-
plete control panel.
 Press the "Minus" A5 and "Plus" A11 buttons simultane-
ously for 2 sec.
9 The brightness is displayed in the "Dynamics" display A9.
 Increase or reduce the brightness by pressing the "Minus"
button A5 or the "Plus" button A11.
Gas test
 Press the Gas test button A14.
9 The Gas test LED A15 lights up and the solenoid valve con-
nects.
‰ The gas supply can be checked/adjusted. The function re-
mains active for 30 seconds and is then ended automati-
cally. The gas test can be aborted by pressing the Torch
button or by pressing the Gas test button again.
Fan test
 Turn on the equipment using the main switch 11.
9 The fan starts up briefly for a function check.
Control panel test
 Press the Crater fill A2 and Gas test A14 buttons simultane-
ously for 2 secs.
9 All the LEDs on the control panel light up for approx 5 sec.
