    Intended use The retractable housings are intended solely for measurement tasks in conjunction with the specified METTLER TOLEDO electrodes/sensors, namely pH and redox (ORP) combination electrodes as well as dissolved oxygen (DO) or turbidity sensors. Use the retractable housings only for this purpose.

    InTrac ® Malfunctions and damage that can affect the safety and function must immediately be remedied by the operator or an expert, and notified to the manufacturer in writing! Danger! A defective retractable housing must neither be installed nor put into operation. Faulty containment and installation out of conformance with regulations and instructions can lead to the escape of medium or to pressure surges (explosion), potentially harmful both to persons and to the environment.

The sensor may only be removed when the housing is in «Maintenance» position (retracted/withdrawn) and the ball valve is closed, since if the electrode/sensor is missing from the housing, there will be path for the process medium to escape to the envi ronment. This can endanger personnel and cause damage to the environment and material.

    InTrac ® Installation and start-up Preparation of the equipment The retractable housings are mounted and fixed on a vessel (reactor, tank, pipe, etc.) either by means, a flange connection, or via a NPT external thread. Attention: Attachment of the flange connection or threaded bushing is the responsibility of the customer.

    InTrac ® Bestimmungsgemässe Verwendung Die Wechselarmaturen sind ausschliesslich zur Messung mit den spezifizierten METTLER TOLEDO Elektroden/Sensoren bestimmt, namentlich pH- und Redox-Einstabmessketten sowie Sauerstoff- und Trübungs-Sensoren. Verwenden Sie die Wechselarmaturen ausschliesslich für diesen Zweck. Zur bestimmungsgemässen Verwendung gehören zudem: – Die Beachtung der Anweisungen, Vorschriften und Hinweise in der vorliegenden Bedienungsanleitung.

    InTrac ® 2.8.2 Verpflichtung des Personals – Alle Personen, die mit Arbeiten an der Wechselarmatur beauftragt sind, verpflichten sich, das Kapitel 1 «Einleitung» und 2 «Sicherheit» und die Warnhinweise in dieser Bedienungsanlei- tung zu lesen. – Ergänzend zur Bedienungsanleitung sind allgemeingültige gesetzliche und sonstige verbind- liche Regelungen zur Arbeitssicherheit und Unfallverhütung zu beachten.

    InTrac ® Produktspezifische Gefahren 2.9.1 Sensorausbau Gefahr! Die Elektrode oder den Sensor erst aus der eingebauten Wechselarmatur entfernen, wenn sich diese in der «Wartungsposition» (eingefahren/eingezogen) befindet und der Kugel- hahn geschlossen ist. Befindet sich die Elektrode/der Sensor nicht in der Wechselarmatur, kann das Prozessmedium in die Umwelt gelangen.

    An der Wechselarmatur dürfen nur Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten ausgeführt werden, welche in dieser Anleitung beschrieben sind. Für den Austausch von defekten Komponenten müssen ausschliesslich Original-Ersatzteile von METTLER TOLEDO verwendet werden (siehe Kapitel 8.2 «Ersatzteilliste»). Gefahr! Bei Nichtbefolgung der Unterhaltsvorschriften können Menschen und Umwelt gefährdet werden.

    InTrac ® Funktionsbeschreibung Mit den Wechselarmaturen InTrac785 können Elektroden/Sensoren ohne Unterbrechung des laufenden Prozesses gereinigt oder ausgetauscht werden. Das Eintauchrohr nach dem Lösen der Befestigungsschraube von Hand oder mit Schlüssel Nr. 38 manuell bis an die gewünschte Endposition («Messposition» oder «Wartungsposition») schieben.
