Maintenance

4.4.1 Cleaning of the sensor head

The measurement principle compensates contaminations on the measurement windows.
Nevertheless, it is possible that due to the process conditions and media, the contaminations
are too large and the sensor head need to be cleaned.
1. Bring equipment to a safe condition (depressurized, empty, rinse, vent, etc.).
2. Disconnect power
3. Dismount sensor
4. Clean sensor head with a soft cloth and mild cleaning agent
5. Install sensor

4.4.2 Verification with solid reference

The sensor can be checked with a solid reference kit. Instruction can be found in the corres-
ponding manual.
4.4.3 Tuchenhagen-Varivent
The O-ring of the process adapter needs to be checked monthly and during every service call.
METTLER TOLEDO recommends that medium-wetted seals should under all circumstances be
replaced every 6 months.

4.4.4 Measurement window check

The sapphire windows need to be checked monthly and during every service call. Take special
attention to damage, contamination and sealing.
