External temperature sensor
Standard the ComfoCool Q600 is controlled by the return
temperature from the heat-recovery unit. If desired the
ComfoCool Q600 can be controlled by an own external
temperature sensor instead. Each distinct assembly step
for control by an external temperature sensor is outlined
below:
1. Get an 10k NTC (KTY 81-210) sensor with the amount
of cable needed. The NTC cable will run approximately
50cm into the unit.
2. Remove the plastic front (A).
3. Remove the sheet steel front (B).
4. Remove the foam (E) next to the electronics
compartment on the side of the condensate drain.
5. Pierce the empty grommet (F) next to the electronics
compartment on the side of the condensate drain.
6. Pierce the grommet (G) on the side of the unit next to
the condensate drain.
7. Pull the NTC sensor cable through the pierced
grommets.
8. Connect the NTC sensor cable on the connector
marked „Tsupply" (X2).
9. Make a pull relief by placing a tie wrap on the sensor
cable next to the grommet on the inside of the unit.
10. Install the NTC sensor on the desired measuring
location.
11. Reinstall all parts in reverse order from step 4.
During assembly, ensure that ALL screws are tight.
(max. 1.5 Nm)
The software will automatically recognise the presence of
the external temperature sensor.

5 Maintenance

5.1 Periodic maintenance

The heat exchangers, condensation tray and
condensation drain should be cleaned once every 4
years. Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the plastic front (A)
2. Remove the sheet steel front (B)
3. Allow some room for the power cable and
communications cable, and remove the cover (C)
under the evaporator
4. Pull the cooling skid (D) no more than 25 cm forwards.
5. Clean the evaporator, condenser and the condenser
tray with a mild cleaning agent. Take care not to
damage the evaporator and condenser fins. If the fins
are bent, they can be repaired with a fin-comb. Rinse
the cleaned components with water.
