5. Before starting the equipment

You can use the quick-release valve either directly
or in conjunction with one of the additional adap-
ters, depending on which type of valve is fi tted to
the item you want to infl ate.
To fi t one of the additional adapters, proceed as
follows:
1. Arrange the clip of the quick-release valve so
that it points vertically up.
2. Now insert the adapter of your choice in the
quick-release valve.
3. Press down the clip in order to fasten the ad-
apter in the quick-release valve.
If you want to use the quick-release valve without
an adapter, plug the quick-release valve (clip
open) over the valve on the item you want to
infl ate
(see Figure 1).
Then press down the clip in order to fasten the
quick-release valve in place (see Figure 2).
6. Operation
1. Connect up the compressor as described
above.
2. Insert the cigarette lighter plug in a matching
12V cigarette lighter socket (e.g. in your car,
caravan, lorry, etc. / Figure 3).
3. The actual pressure is indicated by the check
pressure gauge.

7. Testing the air pressure
To use this function there is no need to connect
up the compressor.
Connect the quick-release valve to the item you
want to test as described in the section „Before
putting the compressor into operation".
The air pressure is now indicated on the check
pressure gauge.
You should always use a calibrated pressure
gauge to check the pressure on parts where a
wrong pressure level could prove fatal, e.g. car
tyres.
For complete fl exibility in the use of your car
compressor, i.e. independently of even your car,
caravan, lorry or similar, it is possible to operate
the compressor in combination with an Einhell
Power Station.
8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
Danger!
Always remove the battery pack before making
adjustments to the equipment.
8.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it with compressed air at low
pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device
immediately each time you have finished
using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-
tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-
re that no water can seep into the device. The
ingress of water into an electric tool increases
the risk of an electric shock.
8.2 Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
