Undo the nut and pull the carriage bolt from the attachment base of the expansion rail (Figure 3 and 3 a).
Figure 3: Attachment base
Remove the filler element and sleeve from the attachment base (Figure 4).
Place the expansion rail on the sleeve (Figures 6 and 7). To do this, the closures must face forwards in the direction of travel (Figure 8).
Figures 6 and 7: Position the expansion rail
Replace the filler elements back in the attachment base. Fit the carriage bolt from the outside, on the side with the square socket, into the attachment base, and fit the
washers and nuts. Do not tighten the nuts yet.
Now insert the pipes of the lamp mount back into the rack table. Slide the pipes in
far enough that the marks (Figure 9) on the pipes are just hidden.

Now align the expansion rail, as far as possible to the back and parallel to the rear
lights. Tighten the nuts in the attachment base. Fit the protective caps (Figure 10)
onto the nuts

Lay the cables alongside the pipe of the rack table. The cables may not be kinked, pulled or crushed, for example, in the folding mechanism area. Secure the cables with
cable ties. When you are finished, trim any excess material from the cable ties using cutting pliers.
5.3 SECURING THE THIRD BICYCLE
The third bicycle is positioned in the third rail, counter to the second. With the frame holders, wheel to wheel, connect the frame of the third bicycle to that of the second. The
wheels are again secured in the same way as for the first bicycle. It may be necessary to arrange the individual bicycles differently on the rack to ensure that the frame holders
may be correctly secured. Now secure the bicycles with the long safety strap. Wrap the safety strap through the bicycle frames and the U-shaped bar and tighten.
The frame holder may cause slight pressure points and damage to the paintwork
of the bicycle frame.
The bicycle rack may not be used without this safety strap.
The bicycles are removed in reverse order.

Screw the hexagonal screw back into the bottom of the rack table. Pay at-
tention to ensure that the screws go through the drilled holes in the pipes
of the lamp mount. Tighten the screws.
Close the rear drilled holes in the pipes of the lamp mount using the end
caps (Figure 11).
