 Remove the rechargeable batteries for disposal of the party
speaker only.
 Before use, check that the rechargeable batteries are fully
charged and the mains plug has been removed from the
device.
 Pull the mains plug from the socket and the device plug from the device.
 Operate the party speaker until the rechargeable batteries are fully discharged
to remove any residual current from the device.
 Loosen the 11 screws on the rear of the device using a screwdriver (TX 15) and
remove the rear panel.
 Loosen the 4 screws on the metal plate above the rechargeable batteries using a
Phillips screwdriver (size 2).
 Loosen the plug contacts of the rechargeable batteries and remove the re-
chargeable batteries from the device.
 Dispose of the rechargeable batteries in an environmentally friendly manner
(see "18. Disposal" on page 55).

13. Troubleshooting

PROBLEM
The device cannot
be switched on.
No sound
MP3 files are not
played back.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The mains cable is not
connected properly.
The volume is set too
low.
The wrong operating
mode has been
selected.
Unsupported file
format.
The connection to the
USB stick is broken.
REMEDY
 Ensure that the mains cable
is properly connected.
 Set the volume to a higher
level.
 Check the volume set on
the external audio playback
device and, if necessary,
increase it.
 Press the S O U R C E
button once or several times
until the correct playback
mode is displayed on the
connected device.
 Only use files in MP3 format.
 Ensure that the USB stick is
inserted correctly.
