unusual.
Floating particles
appear as ice melts.
AutoFill Pitcher
Symptom
Water is not being
filled.
Water overflows.
• If the refrigerator was just installed, the water filter
was replaced, or power was off for a while because of a
power outage, the ice may have bubbles inside or appear
misshapen.
• The shape and size of the ice may vary depending on the
water pressure and usage conditions.
• The transparency of the ice may vary depending on usage
conditions such as door openings, storage volume, ambient
temperature, and temperature settings.
• When the refrigerator is first installed, the water filter is
replaced, or under various usage conditions, irregularly
shaped ice, like the following examples, may be produced.
• When water freezes, minerals such as magnesium and
calcium can form white crystals. These may appear as
floating particles as ice melts.
• Make sure the AutoFill Pitcher function is turned on.
• If condensation forms on the surface of the pitcher, water
may not be filled automatically. Wipe the moisture on the
surface of the pitcher and try again.
• Before opening the rubber cap at the bottom of the pitcher
holder, place a bowl or towel underneath to catch any water.
• Make sure the pitcher's lid is properly closed. If not, water
may leak.
