Water/ice (Sphere Ice models only)
Symptom
Ice is not being made.
• Ice is made approximately 24 hours after the installation.
• If the ice maker is off, it will not make ice even if the water
line is properly connected. Make sure the ice maker is turned
on.
• If too much ice is stacked at the rear of the bucket, the
refrigerator may recognize that the ice bucket is full and
stop making ice. Gently shake the bucket to level the stacked
ice.
• You may hear a sound for about 5 to 15 seconds when water
is supplied to the ice maker. This is not a defect.
• A loud noise may be heard when ice drops into the ice
bucket.
• When water freezes, minerals such as magnesium and
calcium can form white crystals. These may appear as
floating particles as ice melts.
• Ice is made approximately 24 hours after the installation.
• If the doors are open frequently, the freezer temperature
may rise, slowing the ice-making process.
• Make sure to check the front and back sides of the pad in
the sphere ice maker's ice bucket and place it in the correct
direction.
- If the pad is removed or not placed correctly, ice may not
be made.
