INSTRUCTIONS
Before commencing to wind up the Motor, move
the brake lever A over to the right.
thekeydownon to the winding spindle B as far as
it will go, andturn in thedirectionof thearrow.Never
turn the key backward. To start the Motor, release
the brake lever by moving it over to the left.
The lever C is for making the Motor run in the
reverse direction. This lever should be operated only
when the Motor is actually running.

damage to the gears, o r possiblybreakage o f thelever.
The bearings and the gears should be carefully
oiled occasionally to ensuresmoothrunning. Meccano
Oil is the most suitable for this purpose.
The Motor will drive a large number of the smaller
models without extra gearing. The diagram shows
how extra gearsmay be addedwhenmore power is
required.The wheel m ounted on the drivingspindleD
is a Meccano Pinion ; the wheel engaged by the
Pinio n isaMecce 57-teeth Gear o nthe Rod E.

INSTRUCCIONES
Antes de dar cuerda al motor por medio de la nave
que seprovee,hay que mover Ia palanca de freno (A)
hacia la derecha. Para dar cuerda al motor, se
la Mave hasta su fondo al årbol B y dar vuelta en la
direccién que indican Ias flechas. NO se debe nunca
dar vuelta å la llave en el sentido contrario.

ANWEISUNGEN
Der Bremshebel A ist nach rechts zu stellen,bevor
man den Motor aufzieht. Beim Aufziehen desselben,
drücke man mit dem Schlüssel s tarkauf die Spindel B
und drehe denselben in der Richtung der Pfeile.
achte darauf, dass der Schlüssel niemals rückwirts••
gedreht w ird. Um denMotor in Betrieb zu setzen,
ist der Bremshebel auszulösen.
Der Hebel C dient dazu, die Richtung des Motors
umzusteuern, und ist nur dann anzuwenden,wenn
sich der Motor im Gang befindet, sonst könnte dieser,
sowie auch der Hebel, leicht zu Schaden kommen.
Um stossfreien Gang zu versichern, ist es ratsam, das
Radgetriebe u nd die Lagerschalen mit gewönnlichem
Masciiinenöl einzuölen.
Dieser Motor kann mehrere kleine Modelle ohne
Anwendung von Extraverzahnung antrieben. Wie
man ausder Abbildung ersieht, können noch mehrere
Zahnråderangebrachtwerden, um die Tragkraft des
Motors zu erhöhen. Das auf der Triebspindel D
aufgesetzte Radstellt den 12mm. Ritzel dar, wihrend
das mit dem Ritzel kämmende Rad ein Zahnradmit
57 Zähnen ist.
