Please mind:
• Sharp planer/thicknesser knives guarantee a clean
planing surface and put less stress on the motor.
• After three grinding actions, a maximum material
removal of 3 x 0.05 mm may not be exceeded.
• The planer/thicknesser blades used on this ma-
chine are not suitable for rebating and dovetailing.
• Finally lower the cutter block guard again onto the
table. Cover the cutter block and block it with the
star grip screw.
m IMPORTANT!
Only use knives which are recommended by the
manufacturer for this equipment. If you use other
knives there is a risk of injuries due to lack of control.
Avoid over-tightening and the possibility of the
thread becoming detached. If the latch (22) or the
screws have worn out threads they must be immedi-
ately replaced.
10. Cleaning, maintenance and or
dering of spare parts
Machine care
The planer/thicknesser requires little maintenance.
The ball bearings are permanently lubricated. After
approx. ten operating hours, lubrication of the follow-
ing parts is recommended:
• Bearing of the infeed and output roller
• Bearing of pulley and sprocket
The threaded spindle for height-adjustment of the
thicknessing table may only be treated with a dry lu-
bricant agent.
The table surfaces as well as the infeed and output
rollers must always be kept free from resin.
• Regularly clean infeed and output rollers.
• In order to avoid overheating of the motor, regularly
check the air openings for any dust sticking on.
• After a longer period of use, it is recommended to
have the machine checked by an authorized dealer
service
Tool care:
• Cutter block, clamping devices, knife supports and
knives must be regularly cleaned from resin, as a
clean tool improves the planing quality. To this pur-
pose, clamping devices, knife supports and knives
can be put in a common resin remover for 24 hours.
• Resin from aluminium tools may only be removed
with cleaning liquids not being aggressive to this
type of metal.
Attention:
In case of a bad condition of the electrical system, the
performance can drop for a short period of time. Ask
a specialist.

11. Storage

Wrap the power cord (29) around the cable holder
(30) provided for this purpose. For the sliding cane
the sliding cane holders (28) are provided.
Store the equipment and accessories out of chil-
dren's reach in a dark and dry place at above
freezing temperature. The ideal storage tempera-
ture is between 5 and 30 °C.
Store the electric tool in its original packaging.
Cover the electrical tool in order to protect it from
dust and moisture.
Store the operating manual with the electrical tool.

12. Electrical Connection

m WARNING! Electric shock! There is a risk of
an injury caused by electric shock!
Defective cable or plug may cause electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earth parts to protect your-
self from electric shocks.
m Operation is only allowed with a safety switch
against stray current (RCD max. stray current of
30mA).
Insert the plug of the electrical cable in a socket of
suitable shape, voltage and frequency complying
with current regulations.
Do not pull the service cable to pull the plug out of
socket.
The electric motor is connected in a ready-to-
operate state. The connection corresponds to
the relevant VDE and DIN regulations.
The mains connection at the customer's work
place and the extension cable used must cor-
respond to these regulations.
• The product meets the requirements of EN 61000-
3-11 and is subject to special connection condi-
tions. This means that use of the product at any
freely selectable connection point is not allowed.
• Given unfavorable conditions in the power sup-
ply the product can cause the voltage to fluctu-
ate temporarily.
• The product is intended solely for use at con-
nection points that
a) do not exceed a maximum permitted supply
impedance „Z", or
b) have a continuous current-carrying capacity
of the mains of at least 100 A per phase.
• As the user, you are required to ensure, in con-
sultation with your electric power company if
necessary, that the connection point at which
you wish to operate the product meets one of
the two requirements, a) or b), named above.
Important information
In the event of an overloading the motor will switch
itself off. After a cool-down period (time varies) the
motor can be switched back on again.
