❐ Always replace all batteries. Do not use different battery types, brands or batteries
of different capacitances. When changing batteries ensure correct polarity (+/-).
❐ Remove the batteries from the product if they are empty or if you are not using the
product for an extended period. This way, you can avoid damages attributed to a leak.
❐ If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes and mucous membra-
nes and the battery acid. In the event of contact with the battery acid, rinse the affec-
ted areas instantly with plenty of clean water and immediately consult a physician.
❐ Take any leaking batteries out of the product immediately. Clean the contacts before
you insert a new battery.
❐ The batteries may not be charged or reactivated with other means and they may not
be disassembled, thrown in a fi re, submerged in a liquid or short-circuited.

Proper handling of the product

❐ If the product is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of damage,
contact the customer service department.
❐ Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not touch the grinder.
❐ Keep a suffi cient distance from heat sources, e. g. hobs or ovens.
❐ Ensure that the product is not able to fall in water or that the base of the product
cannot get wet.
