recommended for this tool. Others
may be hazardous.
Blades are sharp. Keep hands away from cutting
edge. Laceration can occur.
Changing the Blades
Replace the blades when they become chipped or
damaged. Always replace blades as a set. Use only
MILWAUKEE blades. Refer to "Specifications" for
replacement blade number.
1. Pull the trigger to close the blades slightly. The
locknut and 6 mm hex drive feature must be
exposed.
2. WARNING! Remove battery to avoid starting the tool.
3. Use a wrench to
remove the pivot
locknut, and Allen
key and wrench to
remove the linkage
locknuts (2). Dis-
card the pivot and
linkage locknuts.
4. Remove both the
linkage pins.
NOTE: Take notice of the blade orientation so the
new blades can be installed the same way. The
blades should be oriented so the flat sides contact
and the bevels face away from each other, like a
pair of scissors.
5. Carefully remove the blades by removing the pivot
pin from the assembly. NOTE: It may be easiest
to do so when the tool is on its side with the head
of the pivot pin facing up.
6. Install the new blades in the same orientation,
pay special attention to the washer location. See
image detailing washer locations in the assembly.
7. Slide the pivot pin
through the blades
and clevis. Re-
place the linkage
pins and torque the
linkage locknuts to
217 in-lbs. NOTE:
The pins must be
installed with the
locknuts on the in-
side of the blades, the 6 mm drive features facing
outwards.
8. Thread the pivot pin locknut onto the pivot pin.
Tighten the nut to 150 in-lbs, then back it off be-
tween 1/4 and 1/2 turn.
NOTE: To ensure proper installation, perform a test
cut. If the blades bind when opening, loosen the blade
nut slightly until the blades no longer bind.
Locking and Unlocking the Trigger
To lock the trigger, pull the trigger lock back.
To unlock the trigger, push the trigger lock to the
center position.
To lock for remote cut, pull the trigger and push the
