1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1.1. SAFETY INFORMATION

· Carefully read the instructions, get to know how the machine operates and how to use it properly, how to stop the machine and the
blades in the event of an emergency.
· Do not allow children to operate this machine. Do not allow any adult who has not read the instructions manual to operate the machine.
· Keep the work area free from children and pets.

1. 2. BEFORE OPERATING THE MACHINE

· Inspect the area of work and remove any obstacle.
· Before starting the engine, put it in neutral.
· Always wear suitable clothes to operate the machine. In slippery surfaces, the use of suitable footwear will improve your stability.
· Handle fuel carefully as it is flammable.
WARNING
Please, take the following into account:
1. Use suitable containers for the storage of fuel.
2. The use of oil/gas mixture or dirty petrol is prohibited.
3. Always refuel outdoors. Never indoors.
4. Before starting, wipe clean any fuel spill.
· No adjustment may be made to the engine.
· Wear eye protection both before using the machine or while operating or servicing it.

1. 3. OPERATION

· Before starting the engine, the gear lever must be in neutral and the hands and feet must not be on or near rotating parts.
· Be alert and pay attention when operating the machine on stone floors, pavements or roads and protect from potential dangers from
vehicular traffic. Under no circumstance are passengers allowed onto the machine.
· Should you hit any obstacle, immediately unplug the equipment and check it for any damage. If it has been damaged, repair before
using it again.
· Be always very aware of the environment to prevent slipping and falls.
· If the machine should vibrate abnormally, immediately stop the engine. Try to find the cause of the vibration.
· If you wish to repair, adjust, check or clean the cutting tool, shut off the engine.
· Should you leave the machine unattended, take the necessary precautionary measures: release the throttle lever and place it on the
DISENGAGED position and place the gear lever on the neutral position and shut off the engine.
· The engine must be off when performing cleaning, maintenance or servicing on the machine. Make sure all the moving parts are
locked.
· Exhaust gases from the engine are dangerous. Therefore, do not start or operate the machine indoors.
· Do not use the power tiller without the suitable safety devices or any other guard device in place.
