THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT

NOTE:
Before adjusting the throttle cable free play, the
engine idle speed should be adjusted.
1. Measure the throttle cable free play a .
Throttle Cable Free Play a :
1.0 X 2.0 mm (0.04 X 0.08 in)
Adjust if out of specification.
2. Loosen the locknut 1 .
3. Turn the adjuster 2 in or out to adjust the
throttle cable free play.
Clockwise – Free play is increased
Counterclockwise – Free play is decreased
4. Tighten the locknut 1 .
5. Install the shroud and seat.
NOTE:
After adjusting the free play, turn the handlebar
to right and left, and make sure that the engine
speed does not increase. If it does, recheck the
adjustment and cable routing.
