Hopper Assembly

The hopper includes a pellet clean-out feature to allow for easy
cleaning and the ability to change out wood pellet fuel flavors. To
empty, place a large bucket below the hopper to collect the wood
pellets. Locate the hopper cleanout handle on the back of the hop-
per, and pull up and to the right to open the pellet chute under the
.

Once the pellet has emptied, pull up and slide the handle
to the left to close the pellet chute. (G)
NOTE: Use a long handled brush or shop-vac to remove ex-
cess pellets, sawdust, and debris for a complete clean-out
through the hopper screen.

Running all pellets out of your auger system is recommended if
your grill will be unused for an extended period of time. This can
be done by simply running your grill, on an empty hopper, until all
pellets have emptied from the auger tube.

Check and clean off any debris from the fan air intake vent, found
on the bottom of the hopper. Once the access panel has been re-
moved, carefully wipe off any grease build-up directly on the fan
blades. Use warm soapy water to cut the soot and grease. This
ensures airflow is clean and sufficient to the feed system. (H)
