Another benefit is that it is not required to change the wire guide inner line in the cable
assembly of the welding torch when changing between steel/stainless and aluminium or
between extremely different wire diameters. Suitable external wire feeders are

If a water-cooled welding torch is connected to the internal as well as to the external
wire feeder, the cooling unit FK 4000 R can be modified to allow a simultaneous flow
through both welding torches. This means that it is not required to change the connec-
tions for water flow and water return. A description of the conversion kit for the cooling
unit FK 4000 R is included in this user manual.

VR 4000 with external wire spool holder
VR 7000 with integrated wire spool holder
shipyard feeder VR 2000 (cannot be mounted on wire feeder mounting)
Note! The following options are not available with the TPS 2700 Duo power
source due to the lack of space:
-
optional "key switch"
-
optional "PMR 4000 PullMig" for the integrated wire feeder (but can be
used for the external wire feeder)
The power source TPS 2700 Duo consti-
tutes another link of the generation of
digital MIG/MAG welding power sources.
The design basically corresponds to a TS
4000/5000 or TPS 4000/5000 on a PickUp
carriage including wire feed mounting. In
addition to the wide range of equipment of
the power source TPS 2700, the TPS
2700 Duo offers the possibility of rapidly
changing between two materials. A simple
switching over is sufficient to change from
the wire drive integrated in the power
source to the external wire feed system.
Especially if used in workshops or for
training purposes, the time-consuming
replacement of the welding wire in the
wire feed system is a thing of the past.
