Switching LED and audio signal ON/OFF
The CT- MultiCom acknowledges each keystroke with an audio signal or LED signalling. It is possible to
switch OFF one or both signalling methods. Radios not supporting CT-MultiCom's audio signalling are
recognized by the CT-MultiCom and the sound is automatically switched off permanently.
To switch signalling ON/OFF, proceed as follows:
Switch the radio OFF. On radios, the accessory interface of which is alive even in switched-off
condition (e.g. STP 8000), disconnect the plug of the CT-MultiCom from the radio or remove the
storage battery from the radio.
Press the button (fig. 2/c) and while holding it down switch the radio ON. On radios, the
accessory interface of which is alive even in switched-off condition (e.g. STP 8000), reconnect
the plug of the CT-MultiCom or reinsert the storage battery and continue holding the button
down until the LED flash up 3 times Green and you hear the audio signals.
Let the button (fig. 2/c) go.
To switch LED signalling OFF, press the button (fig. 2/c) - the LED flash up Red.
To switch LED signalling ON, press the button (fig. 2/c) once more – the LED flash up Green.
To switch the audio signal OFF, press the button (fig 2/b) – a low-pitch beep follows.
To switch the audio signal ON, press the button (fig 2/b) – a high-pitch beep follows.
Store this setting by switching the connected radio briefly OFF and ON again. On radios, the accessory
interface of which is alive even in switched-off condition (e.g. STP 8000), store this setting by briefly
pulling the CT-MultiCom plug off the radio or by disconnecting the storage battery from the radio.

Configuring the emergency call button
In order to avoid false tripping, default tripping delay of the emergency call button is set to 3 seconds.
The tripping delay can be switched OFF and/or switched ON again.
To switch the delay ON/OFF, proceed as follows:
Switch the radio OFF. On radios, the accessory interface of which is alive even in switched-off
condition (e.g. STP 8000), disconnect the plug of the CT-MultiCom from the radio or remove the
storage battery from the radio, as voltage is being applied to the interface of the radio even if it
is in switched-off state.
Press the button (fig. 1/b) and while holding it down switch the radio ON.
1/b) go.
For switching OFF press the button (fig. 1/b); the LED flash up Green and you hear a high-pitch
beep.
For switching ON, press the button (fig. 1/b) again; the LED flash up Red and you hear a low-
pitch beep.
