7.3 Hydraulic system

Connection to the hydraulic system and the
system itself must be performed by qualified
personnel, in compliance with the laws and reg-
ulations in force in the country of installation.
Make sure that all the control and safety devices
have been installed correctly, including those
supplied (safety valves and thermal discharge).
The system must be designed in such a
way as to absorb the minimum power
of the appliance in any operating
condition.
To easily intervene on the hydraulic system pro-
ceed as follows:
• open the tank lid (a) and loosen the automatic
relief valve cap (B), if the air in the boiler needs
to be released during system filling (Fig. 23).

• Connect the appliance to the heating system
through the flow pipes (e) and return pipes (F).
• Set up a non-returnable drain pipe, of suitable
diameter, to which to connect the drain of the
safety valve (G).
If necessary, check that the pre-charge of the
closed expansion tank (H) is correct.

It is good practice to clean the system
before rendering it operative.
In order to always ensure high efficiency and
durability of the appliance, it is recommended,
in the presence of hard water (18-30 °F), to use a
softener. If necessary use an anti-algae additive
for the technical water.
