→ ALL EAB COMPONENTS: Inspect the EAB components, including
the handlebar, the wheels and the saddle stem, to ensure that
they are well screwed, fixed and safe. If needed, screw and fix the
EAB components that may have been loosened due to the handling
of the EAB and/or its transportation as well as if the EAB has been left
unattended;
→ TIRES: Check the condition and the pressure of the tires before
any use of the EAB in order to make sure they are inflated to the
pressure level recommended by the tire manufacturer of the tire.
This pressure (PSI) is normally indicated, with some exceptions,
on the side of the tire. Excessive pressure can lead to the bursting
of the tire while not enough pressure can lead to a superior energy
consumption and reduce the battery autonomy. N.B.: For each
pound of air (PSI) below the recommended pressure by the
manufacturer, you reduce the battery autonomy of 1km (0.62 mile);
→ FRONT AND BACK AXLETREES: Make sure that the axletrees are not
loosened;
→ RIMS: Clean the dirtiness and the remains. Make sure of the absence
of cracks or deformation;
→ DERAILLEUR: Make sure that the axes and the chain are correctly
lubricated. Always pedal at the change of speed. For an adjustment
of the derailleur, contact a specialized electric bike center;
→ BRAKES: Make sure that the brake cable is not punctured
or torn. Apply the brakes on the handle to check that the brakes
operate normally and that there is a good hydraulic pressure. If
there is no pressure, consult a specialized electric bike center for an
adjustment;
→ MECHANICAL CONTROL CABLES: Make sure that no control cable of
the speed or of the brakes is punctured or torn;
→ ELECTRICAL WIRING: Make sure that the wires are not loosened,
damaged or cut;
→ REFLECTORS: Make sure that every reflector of the EAB is in place,
screwed, visible and not damaged;
