2. Flip open the water reservoir cap (10). Please note that it cannot be completely de-
tached from the device.
3. Fill the water reservoir (7) up to the max marking with tap water. It holds ap-
prox. 250 ml.
4. Flip the water reservoir cap (10) fi rmly shut again. It must click audibly into place.
Heating Up the Iron
1. Check the label in the garment for the required ironing temperature (see the "Ironing
Recommendations" chapter) and set this temperature using the temperature con-
trol (14).
2. Move the On / Off switch for steam (11) to position
4. Place the iron with the adapter (6) on the ironing board or on a stable, fl at, heat-
resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
5. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
6. The device starts to heat up. As this happens, the temperature control lamp (1) lights
up.
When it goes out, the bottom of the iron (8) has reached the set temperature. The
iron is ready for use.
Ironing
ATTENTION!
Please make sure that synthetic fi bres, nylon and silk are not ironed with steam. The
textiles may be damaged!
Never press the steam burst button for longer than 5 seconds without stopping to
prevent water from running out of the bottom of the iron.
There must be a suffi cient amount of water in the water reservoir for the steam burst
button to be used.
Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can cause severe
scalding.
1. For steam-ironing or spraying, fi ll the water reservoir (7) with water (see the "Filling
the Water Reservoir" section). This is not necessary for dry-ironing.
2. Move the temperature control (14) to the high (•••) to maximum temperature.
Steam-ironing is possible in this range. (Note the care label for the garment which is
to be ironed!)
3. Once the device has reached the set temperature, the temperature control lamp (1)
goes out.
