■ Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can cause severe
scalding.
■ You should only hold the device by the handle when you are operating it.
■ Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the clothing.
■ Be aware of damage caused by fi re! Never iron on one spot for too long. Never
leave the hot bottom of the iron standing on the fabric or another heat-sensitive sur-
face!
■ Do not iron over zips, studs, clips etc. to prevent any scratching of the coating on the
bottom of the iron.
■ Open the water reservoir cap only to fi ll the water reservoir. Otherwise keep the cap
closed while operating the iron.
■ During and shortly after use, place the device on the adapter or the base and on a
fl at, stable and heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface.
NOTE: You might notice a slight odour the fi rst time you use the device. This is harmless
and will cease as you use the device.
Ironing With and Without Mains Cable
This iron can be used both with and without a mains cable.
For cordless ironing, move the release switch (5) on the adapter (6) to the position
– the iron is released from the adapter (6).
For ironing with the mains cable, place the iron back on the adapter and move the re-
lease switch (5) on the adapter (6) to the position
iron.
If the mains cable is connected to the iron during ironing, the set temperature is main-
tained constantly and at all times. The device works like a conventional iron.
In the case of cordless ironing, the temperature drops after a little while. The iron
needs to be connected to the adapter (6) at regular intervals (approx. 2 to 6 minutes) so
that the set temperature is maintained. The intervals are slightly longer with dry-ironing
than they are with steam-ironing.
Filling the Water Reservoir
ATTENTION!
■ Always remove the mains plug before you top up / empty the water reservoir. Never
pull the mains cable, but always pull the mains plug.
■ Never pour any additives into the water reservoir. This may destroy the device and
safe working is no longer guaranteed.
■ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (note the max marking on the water reservoir!).
The water reservoir (7) needs to be fi lled for steam-ironing or spraying. This is not nec-
essary for dry-ironing.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power. (Remove the
adapter (6).) Move the On / Off switch for steam (11) to position
the temperature control (14) to position Aus (off) (turn Aus (off) to marking (13)).
