angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht re pa riert, kann keine Garantie für die Geräte
und keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach-

trieb ge nommen werden, übergeben Sie
sie zur umweltgerechten Entsorgung ei -
nem örtlichen Re cycling betrieb.
Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien bzw. defekte
Akkus nicht in den Hausmüll, sondern geben Sie
sie nur in den Sondermüll (z. B. Sammelbehälter
bei Ihrem Einzelhändler).
3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Rednerpult ETS-840TXS besteht aus einer
Lautsprechersäule, einem Mischverstärker mit vier
Eingangskanälen und einem Empfangsteil für das
mitgelieferte Funkmikrofon (863,05 MHz). Es dient
zur Beschallung bei Vorträgen, Ansprachen, Lesun-
gen etc., wobei das mitgelieferte Funkmikrofon eine
zusätzliche Mobilität bietet (z. B. kann es für Rückfra-
gen im Publikum herumgereicht werden).
An die Eingänge MIC 2/LINE und AUX lassen
sich ein weiteres Mikrofon und andere Audiogeräte
(z. B. CD-Spieler für Musikeinspielungen) an-
schließen. Über die Ausgänge REC OUT und LINE
OUT kann das Ausgangssignal zu einem Aufnahme-
gerät oder zu einem anderen Verstärkersys tem wei-
tergeleitet werden. Am Lautsprecherausgang kann
ein optionaler Lautsprecher alternativ zum internen
Lautsprecher betrieben werden. Die mitgelieferte
Schwanenhalsleuchte sorgt allerorts für eine opti-
male Beleuchtung der Auflagefläche.

The wires in the mains lead of the power supply unit
are coloured in ac cor dance with the follow ing code:
green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be con nected to the terminal in the plug
which is mark ed with the letter E or by the earth
symbol
, or coloured green or green and yel-
low.
2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con -
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
If the units are to be put out of operation
definitively, take them to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful to
the environment.
Do not put exhausted batteries or defective re-
chargeable batteries into the household rubbish
but take them to a special waste disposal (e. g.
collective container at your retailer).
3 Applications
The lectern ETS-840TXS consists of a speaker
column, a mixing amplifier with four input channels,
and a reception part for the supplied wireless micro-
phone (863.05 MHz). It serves for PA applications in
case of lectures, speeches, readings, etc. where the

Hiermit erklärt MONACOR INTERNATIONAL, dass
sich das Funksystem des ETS-840TXS in Überein-
stimmung mit den grundlegenden Anforderungen
und den übrigen einschlägigen Bestimmungen der
Richtlinie 1999/5/EG befindet. Das System ist für
den Betrieb in den EU- und EFTA-Staaten allgemein
zugelassen und an melde- und ge büh renfrei.
4 Inbetriebnahme
4.1 Montage
Zur freien Aufstellung des Pultes wird der Pultfuß
(11) mit Gummifüßen geliefert. Soll das Pult an
einem festen Ort am Boden befestigt werden, die
beiliegenden Montagewinkel (10) verwenden. Dazu
die Gummifüße herausschrauben und die vier Mon-
tagewinkel mit jeweils zwei der mitgelieferten Schei-
ben und Schrauben an der Unterseite des Pultfußes
festschrauben.
1) Den Pultfuß (11) mit den drei Flügelschrauben
unter die Säule (9) schrauben.
2) Das Pultoberteil (3) auf die vier aus der Säule
ragenden Schrauben setzen, jeweils eine Unter-
legscheibe aus Kunststoff und Metall auf die
Schrauben stecken und mit den vier Flügelmut-
tern festschrauben.
3) Den Stecker (5) zur Verbindung des Pultoberteils
auf die Buchse (6) auf der Säule stecken und sei-
nen Sicherungsring festschrauben.
4) Die Schwanenhalsleuchte (2) und das Schwa-
nenhalsmikrofon (1) auf die passende Buchse
auf der Ablagefläche des Pultoberteils stecken
und festschrauben.
5) Die Antenne (8) auf die Buchse (7) an der Seite
der Säule stecken und senkrecht ausrichten.

Another microphone and other audio units (e. g.
CD player for inserting music) may be connected to
the inputs MIC 2/LINE and AUX. Via the outputs
REC OUT and LINE OUT the output signal may be
passed on to a recorder or to another amplifier
system. An optional speaker may be operated at the
speaker output as an alternative to the internal
speaker. The supplied gooseneck light provides an
optimum illumination of the lectern top everywhere.
3.1 Conformity and approval of the wireless
transmission system
Herewith, MONACOR INTERNATIONAL declare
that the wireless system of the ETS-840TXS is
in accordance with the basic requirements and
the other relevant regulations of the directive
1999/5/EC. The system is generally approved in
the EU and EFTA countries and is licence free.
4 Setting into Operation
4.1 Mounting
For positioning the lectern as desired, its base (11)
is supplied with rubber feet. For fastening the lectern
at a fixed place on the floor, use the supplied mount-
ing brackets (10). For this purpose unscrew the rub-
ber feet and tighten the four mounting brackets with
two of the supplied washers and screws each at the
lower side of the lectern base.
1) Screw the lectern base (11) with the three wing
screws under the column (9).
2) Place the upper part of the lectern (3) on the four
screws protruding from the column, place a
washer of plastic and metal each on the screws
and tighten it with the four wing nuts.
4.2 Anschlüsse herstellen
4.2.1 Mikrofon
Zusätzlich zum Schwanenhalsmikrofon und zum
mitgelieferten Funkmikrofon kann über die Buchse
MIC 2/LINE (16) ein weiteres Mikrofon mit XLR-
Stecker angeschlossen werden.
4.2.2 Audiogeräte
Audiogeräte mit Line-Ausgang, z. B. CD-Spieler,
Kassettenrekorder, lassen sich an das Pult an -
schließen.
Eine Stereo-Signalquelle kann an die Cinch-
Buchsen AUX (26) angeschlossen werden. Da das
Verstärkersystem des Pultes nur monofon arbeitet,
werden der linke und rechte Stereokanal intern zu
einem Monosignal gemischt. Mit dem Schalter (17)
neben den Buchsen die Eingangsempfindlichkeit
dem Ausgangspegel der verwendeten Signalquelle
anpassen:

800 mV
Ein Mono-Signal mit Line-Pegel kann auch an die
Klinkenbuchse MIC 2/LINE (16) angeschlossen
werden, wenn diese noch nicht von einem Mikrofon
belegt ist.
4.2.3 Aufnahmegerät
Für Tonaufnahmen ein Aufnahmegerät an den Aus-
gang REC OUT (25) anschließen. Der Ausgangs -
pegel ist unabhängig von der Einstellung des Reg-
lers MASTER (27).
4.2.4 Weiteres Verstärkersystem
Zum Anschluss eines weiteren Verstärkersystems
dieses mit dem Ausgang LINE OUT (24) verbinden.
Zur Kontaktbelegung der Buchse siehe Kapitel 6.
3) Place the plug (5) for connecting the upper part of
the lectern on the jack (6) on the column and
tightly screw its locking ring.
4) Place the gooseneck light (2) and the gooseneck
microphone (1) on the matching jack on the top of
the upper part of the lectern and fasten them.
5) Place the antenna (8) on the jack (7) at the side
of the column and align it vertically.
4.2 Connections
4.2.1 Microphone
In addition to the gooseneck microphone and to the
supplied wireless microphone, another microphone
with XLR plug may be connected via the jack
MIC 2/LINE (16).
4.2.2 Audio units
Audio units with line output, e. g. CD player, cassette
recorder, may be connected to the lectern.
A stereo signal source may be connected to the
phono jacks AUX (26). As the amplifier system of the
lectern only operates monophonic, the left and the
right stereo channels are internally mixed to a mono
signal. With the switch (17) next to the jacks adapt
the input sensitivity to the output level of the signal
source used:

A mono signal with line level may also be connected
to the 6.3 mm jack MIC 2/LINE (16) unless a micro-
phone has been connected to it.
4.2.3 Recorder
For audio recordings connect a recorder to the out-
put REC OUT (25). The output level is independent
of the adjustment of the control MASTER (27).
