MAINTENANCE OF THE MACHINE
WARNING: Maintenance must be done by autho-
rized personnel only.
Clean your machine frequently. It will have longer life and
need fewer repairs.

Lubrication

The Polisher is completely lubricated. The bearings and gears
in the gear unit have enough lubricant for two or three years
of normal operation. All other bearings are sealed and have
enough lubricant for the life of the machine.

Motor And Gears

Remove or blow dust and dirt from the motor frequently.

Repairs

If repairs to the gear unit or motor are needed, do not dis-
assemble the gears and motor! Return the machine to the
nearest Clarke Service Branch or Clarke Authorized Service
Center.

Maintenance Inspection

Return the machine to a Clarke Authorized Service location ev-
ery 12 months for maintenance inspections.

Lever To Lock The Handle

The locking mechanism for the handle can become loose.
Tighten the nut on the end of the cross link bolt. The pressure
of the locking lever is correct when the handle can be adjusted
easily and fastened as needed.

Maintenance Of Brushes

Always remove the brush from the machine when not in use.
Keep brushes in a cool, dry location. Heat can damage the
wood and the bristles. Scrub brushes with bassine fi bers must
be put in water for 16 hours to replace moisture and give the
bristles a longer life.
